From Tim Mills:
Johnny,
Thank you so much for coming and giving us 100%. I’m overwhelmed with all the great things that happened last weekend at our community outreach weekend. Here are the highlights from the weekend.
Saturday we gave away over 9,000 pounds of food.
(4.5 tons which according to food bank numbers translates to 7,500 meals)
Thanks for walking me through ideas on how to engage the people as they came onto the property. Also, thanks for the tips and coaching on how to make sure every person who came onto the property got a Gospel witness. The changes we made this time made a huge difference in the outcome.
As they came onto property we registered them and brought them through the auditorium in small groups. All of them were greeted and heard a short Gospel message from me. I lost track of how many groups but it was somewhere between 10-12. Straight through for over 2 hours. So tired but so worth it!! It was incredible as at least two people in EVERY GROUP responded with a YES to message of repentance and salvation.
It was absolutely supernatural.
While I’m sharing many became overwhelmed with God’s love began to cry as I shared with them what Jesus has done for us. It was so POWERFUL. I’m so thankful for the PRESENCE and POWER of the Holy Spirit. Over 30 said YES to Jesus on Saturday alone!!!
Thank you for bringing the evangelist anointing to us. Then they went outside for ribs and chicken dinners we smoked (it was so good). They sat and ate and talked with us while their kids did fun activities and then left with a bunch of groceries.
Be encouraged.
You really did a great job Sunday in both the AM and PM services. Great illustrated message on the cross Sunday morning. I love the visual. Thanks for helping us with the drama on Sunday night. You made it easy to put together without a ton of practice.
On Sunday we had a bunch of first time guests and another 13 salvations. During the weekend over 40 said yes to Jesus.
SO THANKFUL.
We’re now in the process of following up and have a water baptism scheduled in a few weeks. On Wednesday the night after we had 4 who joined us from the outreach.
This Sunday morning we had several more come back that we met last weekend during the outreach. Today again the altars were full as people responded to a message to be a “servant leader” and wash feet like Jesus.

Bonus last weekend was we were able to work with our current community partners (Publix, Target, Walmart, Sam’s, Chick-Fil-A, Gyros Cafe, Central Alabama Food Bank) and build three new relationships — two property managers and a nonprofit called New Awakening Recovery that serves women coming out of addiction, abuse and incarceration.
We will definitely work with all three again. Thank you for believing in me and this church and investing in this community.
